Dropbox is the most popular file hosting service that offers cloud storage, file synchronization, and file sharing service. When you install the Dropbox application in your desktop, the Dropbox folder will be created in your device. The folder is used to store your files and can be accessed through Dropbox website or Dropbox applications. In Dropbox, you are provided with the facility to create a multiple account on your device. You can create both personal account and Dropbox for Business account on your computer. You can create both account on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android device. But, remember that only Business account holder can have a multiple accounts.
Dropbox offers the feature to switch between the different accounts for Dropbox for Business account holder. To switch the account, the user will not need to sign out and sign in all the time. Follow the steps below to switch the accounts in Dropbox.
- Switch the accounts on the Dropbox web site
While signing in one account, you don’t need to log out to switch to other account. On the left side of your screen, the name of your account is provided at the sidebar. Click on that name. You may need to sign in to access other account depending on your last activity in your other account. Now, your dropbox will show the Dropbox folder of the newly opened account. Click on the name of the account at the left side bar to go back to the previous account.
- Switch the accounts using desktop application
It is very easy to make a switch between the accounts in the desktop application. In the menu bar, the Dropbox icon can be seen. Click on that icon and select the home icon or briefcase icon and select the respective account folder on your computer.
- Switch the accounts in mobile app
In the mobile application too, you are provided with the facility to make a switch between your different accounts. In your home screen of Dropbox, you are provided with the list of your both accounts. Select the respective account and again return to home screen to make a switch between accounts.
When you sign out of your account, you will be logged out of both your accounts.
