Then click on the sign in page of the Dropbox and insert your username and password to sign in to your Dropbox account. How to enable the use text messages option
Sign into your Dropbox account. After signing into it go to the account settings of your Dropbox and select the ‘use text messages’ option while enabling the two-step verification for your Dropbox account. After clicking it, you have to insert your mobile number to which you want to receive the text messages. You can click on next to continue. After that, you will get a text message on the same phone number, which contains a security code that helps to verify your phone number. Insert the code when prompted to enable the two-step verification.
Use a mobile app
To generate a unique time-sensitive security code, there are some available mobile apps and you can finish the sign into the Dropbox account. The Google Authenticator is one of the apps that supports the Time-based One-Time Password protocol (TOTP protocol).
The Google Authenticator works on an android phone, windows, iPhone, and Blackberry. You can receive the codes through it easily on these devices. You will be able to generate the codes using them if you enable the two-step verification using the text message or voice call. This service is available even if you do not have an internet connection or mobile service.

How to set up the Dropbox Google Authenticator app
You have to enable the two-step verification using your phone number from the account setup and complete the SMS/Voice setup. Then you can go to the two-step verification settings page on your computer and click on the ‘Android’. Launch the Google Authenticator app from your mobile device and if you are doing it for the first time, you have to select the ‘Begin setup’ option. You can set up your new account from the menu of the app. You can link up your mobile device with two options which are: using your secret key and using the QR code.
Using secret key
You have to select the ‘enter provided key’ from the linking options and enter your Google account which is your email address of google. Then you can insert the secret key to ‘enter your key’ box that appears on your computer screen. You have to choose the time-based key and select the ‘add’ button.
Using QR code
QR codes are extracted from the Barcode. To use the QR code, you have to scan the barcode first. You can install a barcode reading application for your device to scan the barcode. Your device must be connected to a camera to scan the barcode. After you point your camera to the code after selecting the ‘scar a barcode’ option, your code will automatically be generated and you can get connected to the device.
